I loved Grange Hill and would look forward to it all day while I was at school and made sure I never missed an episode, this was the early 1980's and was the topic of conversation amongst me and my mates. It wasn't the same when it came back for a while in the 90's, it has finished completely now.
Another favourite was Brookside, a lot of people slated it but I loved it.
Saturday mornings I can remember Swap Shop with Noel Edmonds and then after that ended there was Saturday Superstore (I think that is the name) with Sarah Greene. I always got up to watch those. Showing my age or what!!

Andy Pandy aw he was sooooo sweet. Spotty dog and of course Bill and Ben were great childrens shows For the girls what about Folly Foot and the lovely Dora and Steve? Black Beauty was another.
How i used to laugh my pants of at Dick Emery and Harry Worth
What about The Clitheroe Kid and the ever so annoying Charlie Drake?
Bonanza was my favourite and The Big Valley too.
Later on Alias Smith and Jones were a must to watch.

Gentle Ben
was mentioned on the radio today. It took me a while to twig that I had seen this - it was a bear who solved mysteries with his human friend (as bears do). It think it was set in rural America.

TV over Christmas last year wasn't very memorable at all I must say! There were lots of repeats of really old films and shows, so boring and made me so glad that I have Sky and a great music collection too!
When I was a child, memories of watching old films like The Wizard of Oz or Mary Poppins were great as they are timeless classics, we would all sit silent from start to finish when they were on!
