Hi Dog Lover, glad you liked the photos. The cottages are at the far end of Saxon Road. They overlook the church. The second photo in reply#2 was taken while standing in front of them.

Hopefully the cliff will remain in it's present position for many years yet. There is a large expanse of beach between that and the waters edge. Many years ago the church was surrounded by land. Many houses have been lost to the sea since then. Thankfully at the moment the tide appears to be building the beach up. I can remember the promenade below the Jolly Sailors pub being on the waters edge. Now there is sand there instead of the sea.

The tides are a powerful force. The sand between the South Pier and Claremont Pier is fast disappearing. Maybe it is being taken south to Pakefield?

I will see what I can do Margo. Just give me a little time. I have only just got back into photography lately so will need to go out with the camera again. Digital is so much easier to use than the old fashioned film I have used in the past.   wave
